Random thoughts as a father

Extracted from main blog:

The thing about having some alone time with the baby (e.g. during night feeds) means that there is more time for me to think... Yes, with no distractions from phones, computers or TV, there is really more time for me to think. So... my rusty brain finally thought of some philosophy questions along the way:

1) Do we love the baby, because we see a part of ourselves, or a part of each other in the baby?

2) Do we think the baby is cute, simply because he is our baby? (i.e. if it's other people's baby, we wun find him as cute?)

3) People always say things like "Can't wait for him to grow up" when they are dealing with babies, because the babies are so vulnerable and needy, and they make their parents lose sleep because they have to wake up to feed/check the baby whenever they cry, whether at night or in the day. But I don't feel this way. I appreciate baby Caden for who he is now, and I don't wish for time to pass faster, nor wish for him to grow up so fast.

He is so precious now, and his eyes are full of light. Of course, he is very cute too, regardless of when he is happy when smiling, satisfied after drinking milk, crying because he is abandoned on the cot, looking curiously out of the window or just randomly scaring himself with needless thoughts like "I'm falling" or "My hands has no proper support".

The way he lean on me and fall asleep on my chest, on my arm, or even on my laps. The way he looks at me, sometimes curious, sometimes needy, sometimes fear (lol). All these are so precious. And he smells good too haha~

Basically everything positive about his babyhood is so precious, and I fully appreciate this phase of his life. No doubt, he made us lose sleep, made us worry (when he cries, or milk suddenly comes out from his nose, or even accidentally banging his head against my chest). But, I wouldn't wish for him to grow up faster than he is currently growing. Just let time slowly flow, and let him slowly grow up.

All I ask for, is for you to stay healthy, stay strong (because I'm clumsy with my hands lol), and stay curious about this world. Please continue to love us for who we are, because we love you a lot.

Reminder to my "old" readers

While it has been a while since this blog has been updated, the "actual" blog actually had quite a few updates along the years.

To my "old" readers, if you are still interested to read more about my life, this is a gentle reminder that you may still check out the "actual" blog :)

Just add a "2" behind, and you will be able to find.
